Diabetic foot problems: prevention and management

In July 2025, we reviewed the guideline recommendations on treatment for diabetic foot ulcer in specific relation to considering topical oxygen therapy.

Surveillance decision

We will update the guideline to add consideration for topical oxygen therapy as an adjunctive treatment for those people with diabetic foot ulcers (in addition to standard care, if healing is not progressing).
