Relevance to NICE guidance programmes
NICE has issued diagnostics guidance on depth of anaesthesia monitors – Bispectral Index (BIS), E-Entropy and Narcotrend-Compact M, as well as a guideline on sedation in children and young people, but this guidance does not specifically cover the choice of manual or automated control of inhalational general anaesthesia.
