2 Information about iptacopan

Marketing authorisation indication

Iptacopan (Fabhalta, Novartis) is indicated for 'the treatment of adult patients with complement 3 glomerulopathy (C3G) in combination with a renin-angiotensin system (RAS) inhibitor, or in patients who are RAS-inhibitor intolerant, or for whom a RAS inhibitor is contraindicated'.

The list price of iptacopan 200 mg is £26,500.00 for a 56‑capsule pack (excluding VAT; BNF online accessed August 2025). The company has a commercial arrangement, which would have applied if iptacopan had been recommended.
