3 Information about cefiderocol

Cefiderocol is a siderophore cephalosporin. It inhibits gram-negative bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins. Cefiderocol is administered as an intravenous infusion over 2 hours, and given every 8 hours. Dosage adjustment is needed for people with renal impairment.
