Develops guidance on the use of new and existing treatments within the NHS, such as medicines, medical technologies and surgical procedures.

Provides end-to-end clinical oversight and support to all areas of the organisation.

Delivers our implementation strategy, drives and enables the effective and appropriate use of all of our guidance and advice, and supports the engagement of patients and the public.

Brings together the latest thinking and practice on using science, evidence and data to deliver our work.

Provides and maintains the technology and infrastructure needed to carry out our work.

Responsible for:

  • managing our IT operations and infrastructure

  • the design, build and maintenance of our digital services

  • developing and maintaining our guidance production systems

  • data management and information architecture

  • cyber security.
